Govt stats show the total motor vehicle traffic miles in Bath & North East Somerset Council 15 years ago was 732 million. The latest figure (2023) is 729 million miles. Pre-covid the highest figure was 781mn. That isn't doubling.

Cllr Shaun Hughes seemed to doubt what he was reading and asked Cllr Rigby if he had it correct that the proposal is that a youngster coming into Bath on a 50cc scooter will be charged the same as a 1.5 litre 1990 Diesal Astra - £15 a day. She confirmed - yep that is the proposal.
