I hope one day I stop seeing people say "fighting games are too hard for casuals" It's a damaging narrative. They can be difficult to be good at but you don't need to be good to have fun. Just like every other game Visuals, content and cool stuff will get people into anything

I don't even think you need to approach it in this way, even something like pong is art. Combining mechanics to create a cohesive experience is an artform

Deadlock has to be the hardest game I've ever tried teaching to new players. It's also why I highly recommend it to everybody. The game has an insanely high ceiling, and there's so many cool things you can learn to get good at.

A lot of people consistently fail to realize that the only requirement for you to have fun on FGs is to play like-minded people of equal skill (or equal lack of skill) That's all it takes. Is there a game where it's "easy to be good at" anyway? You'll get stomped regardless

Can someone explain to me what the difference between dying in a moba and waiting 30+ seconds to respawn and being in a combo for half that time? Why is the moba one ok, and the fighting game one always said to make players feel icky and therefore it must change?
