Happy morning celebrating reading with people from schools all over the UK, who believe in giving kids time and space to read, and finding books that will interest each child. This is why we have Library lessons for all Colfe's School KS3, and a Library that is open all day long.

It's @colfesschool drop everything and read day! All students and their teachers are reading together at the start of every single lesson - and there's a visit by Alex Wheatle to look forward to this afternoon. Reminding everyone to make time to read for pleasure.

Just finished this wonderful and moving sequel to Nicola Garrard’s “29 Locks”. Can’t wait to promote it to Colfe's School students. “One of the very best pieces of fiction to come out of the refugee crisis” Anthony McGowan. Simultaneously heartbreaking and uplifting.
