Players: What are your priorities this summer? Working out? Chilling? Netflix? Or is it weight room? Eating right? Gym time? Your habits/decisions reveal your priorities. Don’t wait. This is separation season! Everyone will know what you did all summer by what you do next season!

I’ve offended families by coaching their kid “too hard” and “not hard enough”. I’ve played the better player too late and pulled the better player too soon. Coaching is a hard gig. It’s a whole lot easier when you realize you’re human.

Average players show up and expect results. The BEST players are first to arrive, last to leave - always working. Investment over entitlement.

A commitment to WINNING means a commitment to THE WORK that WINNING requires. 🏆🥇🏅

Bad Team: Players hate Summer workouts. Good Team: Coaches get players excited about Summer. Great Team: Summer workouts are player led!

Summer workouts are not just about physical development. This is when you earn your teammates trust! Great Teams TRUST each other!

Congrats to Kenley Hilleary and Katie Bracken for making All-State. Both are extremely hard working and phenomenal young ladies! So proud for them!

One of the toughest parts of coaching is confronting players who are okay with where they are at. Comfort kills progress.

What does it mean to be “coachable?” 🔸You are eager to receive instruction and feedback without getting defensive or making excuses. 🔹You focus on getting better, not on protecting your ego. 🔺You are grateful that someone is willing to invest in your growth and success.

Don’t be that player who is too cool to go hard. The way you do anything is the way you do everything. Whether in a workout or a game, 100% is minimum. Cool won’t impress, won’t get more playing time, won’t get you better. Cool will keep you on the bench. Cool will get you beat!
