6th June 2024 marks 80 years since D-Day: the largest naval, air, and land operation in history, and the beginning of the liberation of Western Europe. #DDay80

Today we join the nation, and our allies, in remembering the bravery of the D-Day generation. 80 years on, it is our duty to ensure future generations remember their service and sacrifice. Image © IWM (BU 1184)

I hope the museum curators, archaeologists and academics - all of whom should have known better - who have excused and justified heritage crime in recent years because they sympathised with the cause(s) committing it are ok with what they've opened the door to.
