"We can be critical of AI, but we can’t pretend it doesn’t exist". Coincidental with this article today, our departmental meeting today discussed AI with a similar ethos. Worries about bias & deskilling sat alongside requests for training & ethical use of AI. #alwayslearning

This week's CLASS meeting on genAI - lots of discussion about the perils and pitfalls, bias and ethics - but also the possible, positive ways we can use genAI and teach it. Snapshot of a very busy Padlet to guide our future direction in this important field #alwayslearning

Very interesting critical dialogue about genAI, reflecting many of the concerns being expressed by colleagues everywhere. Very long at one hour, philosophical and sociological mostly, but profoundly confronting one of the greatest challenges in Higher Education. #alwayslearning
