🚨 Four new units now in service! 🛻 2 Battalion Chief trucks (2024 F150s) 🔥 2 @warriorbrushtrucks (F550s, 400 gal, Class A foam) Old BC trucks now serve in key operational roles with less road time. Another step forward in our fleet replacement plan! #CCFR #NewApparatus

Yesterday, CCFR crews quickly contained a garage fire on E. Queens Ct in Inverness. Fire stayed confined to the garage—no injuries. Cause: Accidental, from a damaged electrical cord. 🔌 Safety: Never staple or pinch cords; replace damaged ones immediately. #CCFR #FireSafety

🔥 Burn ban still in effect. Recent light rain wasn’t enough after weeks of dry conditions. High KBDI + wind/temp/humidity = very high fire danger. Ban lifts only when KBDI <500 for 7 straight days. Report illegal burning: 352-249-2790 #CitrusCounty #BurnBan #FireSafety

🚒 Yesterday AM, CCFR responded to a fiery crash on N Paradise Pt in Hernando. One car overturned & caught fire, the other struck a mobile home. Fire was out by 6:16 AM, 2 people transported, both vehicles totaled, home damaged. CR 491 reopened ~1:15 PM. #CCFR #HernandoFL

Early this morning, CCFR responded to a small non-dwelling shed fire on N. Maple Terrace in Hernando. Fire was knocked down within minutes — no injuries. Cause: Electrical, from extension cords used as permanent wiring. 🔌 Safety: Never use extension cords as permanent wiring.
