President Sahle-Work Zewde held a bilateral meeting with United Nations Secretary General António Guterres at #UNGA74. The SG reaffirmed his appreciation for the reforms in #Ethiopia and PM Abiy Ahmed Ali 🇪🇹's mediation in The Sudan, emphasizing the need to pursue the same with South Sudan.

Pres.Sahle-Work Zewde, a former member of senior United Nations leadership, expressed pleasure at re-engaging with the UN in her capacity as Head of State. And promised to positively consider the SG's invitation to join his Circle of Leadership on Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse.
