Still rather damp. We’re turning a bedraggled 455720 & 455710 round on P1 at Chessington South this time. Heading back to Waterloo as 2M07. Once there, it’s time for a break.

Sit down had and it’s time to go home. 444022 & 444028 will take me there, out of P15 at Waterloo on 1P23 fast to Portsmouth Harbour. I shall be relieved at Guildford as my day ends there.

Morning all! Day 1/2 is here, I signed on at 05:17 for job 7. Prep in the Up Carriage Sidings, shunt it out, up via Epsom, down to Alton, back to Farnham and a shuttle home.

Prepped (NFF) and shunted into P3 at Guildford, 450057 & 450049 are my first rides of the day. Service begins for me with 2D12 to Waterloo via Epsom.

Break over and back out on the Iron Road with me. My new units are 450074 & 450042 which are now open for boarding on P9 at Waterloo if you want to ride 1A21 to Alton. Warming up now. Sunnies on!! 😎

Lovely down at Alton where we are turning back on P2. 450042 now has the lead from 450074 as we get ready to work 1A34 to Waterloo with an additional stop at Wimbledon for the tennis fans. I’ll be relieved at Farnham, however, as I have other work from there.

Heading for home now. Fresh out of the Tip Road, 450097 boards on P1 at Farnham as we prepare to work it to Guildford as 2J27. Once there, I am done for the day.

Morning all! Day 2/2 is here and I signed on at 04:30 for job 2. No prep today, up Epsom (with a stop at the Staff Halt at Wimbledon Park), Dorking, down to Alton and back to Woking for me.

Ready to start service. First rides of the day are 455709 & 455730 which have spent the night on P2 at Guildford. They are now ready to work 2D06 to Waterloo via Epsom, if you happen to be a particularly early bird.

Just realised that today marks the sixth anniversary of being awarded my key. Where does it all go?

Change of stock at Waterloo, I am now with 455712 & 455716 on P1. Next up is 1D07 down to Dorking.

Unusually, we were routed into P2 at Dorking this morning so we’re turning back there. 455716 now has the lead with 455712 behind as we get ready for the return journey to Waterloo as 1D16. Once there, it’s sit down time.

Two important birthdays to celebrate today. London Waterloo is 177 today and Mama Driver is… ah… somewhat younger. Happy birthday to both!

Break over and what better thing to do on a nice, sunny day than to have a ride down to Alton. 450082 is all alone on this one as we work 1A25.
