Congratulations to @ZoeSchnepp and Rob Hunter!! Their paper on the effect of precursor structure on porous carbons has just been accepted in Royal Society of Chemistry Materials Advances. Rob came to visit us back in November to collect gas sorption data with our postdoc Jemma Rowlandson!
If you like porous carbons, check out our paper in Royal Society of Chemistry Materials Advances where we investigate the effect of precursor structure in iron-catalyzed graphitization: doi.org/10.1039/D0MA00… @ZoeSchnepp Jemma Rowlandson Valeska Ting @drheaddamage Glen Smales Chem Birmingham
Excited to share my research looking at a potentially green route to porous graphitic carbons for my first #RSCPoster conference! Read more here: doi.org/10.1039/D0MA00… #RSCMat #RSCEnv #RSCNano Chem Birmingham Jemma Rowlandson Valeska Ting @drheaddamage Glen Smales
Great to see our paper "Milling as a route to porous graphitic carbons from biomass" get published in Royal Society Publishing #PhilTransA featuring work from Joe Davies MSci project: doi.org/10.1098/rsta.2… Thanks to Magda Titirici for putting this themed issue together! Chem Birmingham
Day 2 Sincrotró ALBA💡 and time for some in situ PXRD measurements - fingers crossed no oxidation 🤞🤞🤞 #RealTimeChem
For all things catalytic graphitization, check out our new review out now in Royal Society of Chemistry Journal of Materials Chemistry A: doi.org/10.1039/D1TA09… UoBChemistry
Delighted to have passed my PhD viva yesterday! Thank you to @ClarkGroupBham and Rosseinsky Group for being great examiners (and of course to Zoe for putting up with me in her group for the last 5 years) 🎉
Great to see some more work on iron-catalyzed graphitization published in Royal Society of Chemistry Materials Advances - and this time featuring Emily Hayward! doi.org/10.1039/D3MA00… UoBChemistry
We are recruiting! 🚨 PhD scholarship available at Imperial ChemEng to work with carbon materials, single atoms and electrochemical CO2 conversion with Magda Titirici and myself. Come join us! Spread the word 🙂 #chemjobs To apply 👇🏽 imperial.ac.uk/engineering/de…
Lorenzo's Master Thesis work has just been published on Green Chemistry ! Lorenzo Mazzoli Angus Pedersen He developed porous FeNC electrocatalysts derived from Xylose. Nice collaboration between Imperial ChemEng The University of Manchester EPFL Check it out!👇 pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…
Thanks Jiayin Yuan for organising a research exchange symposium between my group and the MMK Stockholm University. Hoping for new ideas and collaborations to emerge within @wise_materials . Stockholm is beautiful even in bad weather! Had a stroll in my favourite neighbourhood!
Thank you to Nara Kim for hosting me Linköpings universitet. Was great to explore a beautiful new part of Sweden and hope to see some exciting collaborations in the future! @wise_materials Magda Titirici
