I wrote a thing for The Transmitter. The attack on scientific infrastructure happening in the US shows that relying on any one country is not a good option for science. We need to start supporting and building international, decentralised infrastructure for science.

The new NIH director says “Second, NIH-supported science should be replicable, reproducible, and generalizable.” NHP are exactly that. One if not the most generalizable and reproducible research model organism.

(Plz repost) I’ve been receiving some good news lately and will be hiring at all levels to expand the lab. Please get in contact if you are interested in reinforcement learning, neural plasticity, circuit dynamics, and/or hearing rehabilitation. pierre.apostolides @ umich .edu
