Tonight I was due to be in Hamburg conducting the NDR Big Band in a concert and livestream, but unfortunately it had to be cancelled. Good news is that I was able to go to RCM and collect the Eddie Harvey Arranger of the Year award! Ralph Towner’s Celeste I wrote for NYJO :)

Is it fair to ask why freelancers are supposed to take the hit in times like this? 3 gigs already have been cancelled - no pay due to Force Majeure. Probably more to come. I had great respect for the Queen and am saddened by her passing but this is our livelihood
