The recent record #parkrun attendances haven't purely been down to the rise in the number of active events - the number of participants per event has also been growing following a noticeable post-COVID drop.

Last weekend saw a new national attendance record for parkrun Deutschland, as well as the highest turnout ever seen on a Saturday in Denmark.

Why is it so hard for companies to check how their customers would actually like to be to be addressed, rather than assuming $FIRSTNAME from official ID? Being constantly called by the 'wrong' name in apps, emails, texts and by agents does *not* make me feel at all valued. 😡

Yesterday saw new national attendance records for parkrun Deutschland (for the second week in a row) and parkrun Italy (for the first time since Oct 2023). 10 of the 20 currently active parkrun countries have set a new Saturday record in April or May this year.

Today saw a new national attendance record for parkrun USA, while parkrun Italy, celebrating their 10th birthday, equalled the record set last Saturday.

Seeing the first Charles III banknote in my wallet made me realise a new monarch still seems quite novel to me after having had the same one for half a century. My grandfather, on the other hand, lived to see six (four Kings and two Queens).

Yesterday saw a new record global #parkrun attendance record for June and a new national record for parkrun Canada, both for the second Saturday running. There was also a new Saturday record for Denmark, on the eve of the Bridge Run 2025 half marathon over the Øresund/Öresund Bridge.
