Today I met with the International Association of Fire Fighters to announce $800k to support them as they fight more severe and frequent wildfires. We will continue to invest in the safety and success of Canada’s world-class firefighters, on the front lines of the climate crisis.

The Govt. of Canada will commit $800K to fund our RTI program in the coming year. This support is critical to training structural fire fighters to respond safely to the growing threat of wildfires – and when fire fighters are safe, those we took an oath to protect are safe.
