There's lots of action happening for the next two weeks at the 14th Annual Great Lakes Grain Crop Assessment Tour 2023. Today, Alicia, Chad, Nolan, Jen, and Lynn hopped in a field near Ayr to kick things off. Follow #GLGTour2023 for updates.

An early start to the #glgtour2023 today to try and beat some of the afternoon heat. Heat and sunshine is what we need right now to move this crop along. Yesterday's findings were a very consistent corn crop in Brant, Oxford and Norfolk but the crop is behind in maturity.

This morning I found a more advanced field in Norfolk. This corn was planted in April. Stand population was good, cob length and kernals around were very consistent. Frequent rains in Norfolk this summer have definitely helped the corn crop this year. #GLGtour2023

Some white mould starting to show up in some soybean fields. Unfortunately it's taking the top end off of some nice looking soybeans. #GLGTour2023
