How does the Foundation help local nonprofits meet their goals? We target smaller nonprofits (>$1.5M annual budget) by providing funds for operational expenses, since they know best how to serve their clients. We make it easy to apply with a short application.

Before the Foundation's inception in 2019, San Carlos allocated roughly $40,000 annually to 5-8 local nonprofits focusing on financial, educational, and mental health needs. Recently, the Foundation has provided over $150,000 to more than 15 nonprofits meeting community needs.

Charitable donations surged by 8.2% in 2024, due to higher disposable income. However, economic & tax uncertainties might influence future donation trends. San Carlos enjoys some immunity to economic strains, yet community support is vital for sustaining its strength. #Charity
