2023 HighTechElec TY TechnoDen Winners - Dr. Fatih Atar & Eamonn O’ Sullivan (Tyndall) were judges, and the winners were Ava Scarlett (Skibbereen Community Sch.) & Dara Cronin (Col. Ghobnatan Ballymakeera) – for their presentation ‘SPECTACULAR‘ about Augmented Reality glasses.

CEIA Wish to congratulate the UCC students who received the CEIA Student of the year awards in 2020, 2021 and 2022, the achievement of which was recognised recently at an event in UCC. We wish David, Daragh and Conor every success in their careers.

CEIA held its AGM in Maryborough Hotel on Feb 12th, with Executive Guest Speaker, Prof Barry O’Sullivan, UCC School of Computer Science & IT, who gave a presentation on ‘Artificial Intelligence: from Capacity to Regulation’. 2024 sees the CEIA celebrating its 40th anniversary.

Week 1 of the HighTechElec TY prog. took place last week. TY students visited Tyndall Inst., UCC & MTU Dept. of Electrical & Electronic Eng., & a CEIA-member company for a day's work exp. The TechnoDen comp. was won by Cara O'Sullivan (Col.Choilm) & Adrian Kacperek (Midleton CBS)

Congratulations to Presentation Brothers College Cork - winners of the MTU CanSat 2024 competition Munster Technological University on Sat. The PBC CanSat team will compete at the National CanSat Ireland Competition in May, and the winners continuing to the ESA CanSat final in the Netherlands in June.
