Oh dear. A political commentator who, it appears, has never heard of a shadow budget. Perhaps when I retire from teaching in three months I shall need to do some freelance work.

You can put all the spin on it you like but British rugby league competitions are being localised because teams can't afford to travel to away games and/or the governing body can't afford to send them. That's all you need to know, really.

Some people say Carney okayed the new pipeline because he thinks Danielle Smith will never get the financial backing she needs to build it but I think Carney's overlooking the fact Danielle can simply apply for a Ontario Skills Development Funds grant to pay for the pipeline.

At no point during the five-year span that Monty Python's Flying Circus aired on the BBC, from October 1969 to December 1974, could the greatest comedic minds of their time come up with a skit more grotesquely absurd than Trump placing a fake peace-prize medal over his own head.

Christmas Eve in the Netherlands, where every year children light candles on the graves Canadian soldiers who liberated the Netherlands in '44-'45. Thank you Canada! 🇨🇦

Some in the echo chamber omit to tell you this. 👇🏻 When a government issues a loan guarantee to another country, it is not handing over cash. It is making a formal promise to the lender that it will repay the loan if the borrower defaults. What the guarantor receives in return

🧵 (1/12) 2025 was a significant year for me in more than one sense. Through my role as a staff writer for Legion Magazine, I contributed dozens of articles that I remain immensely proud of. Here, however, are my top ten favourites.
