I get it now. Ted and Heidi Cruz wanted their children to be safe, to have basic sanitary services like heat and running water, to leave behind a third-world apocalyptic nightmare for a safer place. Like so many parents before them, they decided to cross the Mexican border.
Thanks to Ward Electric and Xcel Energy Colorado for restoring my neighborhood power after 48 hours. They worked in the dark and cold, climbing power poles until midnight on New Year’s Eve and came back today to finish the job. Professional and friendly. Deeply grateful.

Thought we’d some spring skiing Copper Mountain. Umm, it was “spring in CO” conditions—14 degrees, windy and snowing. Fun though. See you next season.
