I was disappointed not to be called to speak in Parliament today. I was going to highlight Israel's violations of international law: from using white phosphorus, to starving Gaza of water, food, fuel and electricity. There must be a ceasefire and an end to the bombing of Gaza.

More than 500 people are reported to have been killed after an Israeli airstrike hit a hospital in Gaza. Political leaders of all parties – including my own – must call for an urgent ceasefire and an end to the war on Gaza. More innocent lives must not be lost.
