At about this time in 1795, General Mad Anthony Wayne writes a letter to Henry Knox. He was livid! He’d just discovered that another American General, James Wilkinson, had been secretly plotting against him. /1 of X @#history #storytimetthreads 🧵👇

Funny thing. I was opening a new bank account and they wanted 2 Govt issued Id’s. All I had was my driver’s lic. and I was thinking I have to go home and get my Passport or something. But, I had my wallet sized Ham operators license! It has the FCC seal and they accepted it.

My Vertical decided to be a Sloper. My weather gauge read it as a 56mph gust. Need a heaver mast. Thats was a fence top rail. Antenna looks pretty sound.

Were going to our first “Farmers Market” to sell our produce tomorrow. Exhausted, as we gathered about 200 beets and 100 or so carrots.. forgot to take beet pics but here is a sample of the Carrots we’re selling.

So we did the farmers market in our town, Dunlap, Tenn. and we prayed we didn’t pull and clean to much stuff. Lo and behold, we sold out. Met a bunch of wonderful folks that are excited to see what we bring.

and finally #ISS HAMTV is active! Congratulations to all the many people who worked to get HAMTV up and running again. For the entire amateur radio community, it’s a great honor and privilege to have a TV signal from the ISS. Truly, thank you!

Have a new Grandson! We drove down to Texas from Tennessee (about 16 hours) to visit him. Came home to this Walking Stick. They are good luck no? Or are Praying Mantas’ (gonna treat it as good either way).

I follow a few Ham radio operators in Japan, and somehow a scammer thought I was a reader/speaker and decided to sent me a “phishing attack - email”. Kinda funny that it’s in Japanese and “propagated” 3500 miles to my home, just like HF. I wonder if I can count that as a QSO?

Rear break line was sheared off by a pothole encounter. So I ordered 2 longer (not gonna happen again lines) replaced the broken one and the other side. Here is warming up to do a shake down lap down to the valley and back. Ah so fun.

The wind blew over (bent the mast) my hy-gain AV-680 6-80M antenna. So way better Mast (schedule 40 Steel) and am making a guy system for it. I have this made so it will be just below the Cap Hat’s at about the 21’ mark. This is it so far. Its a high density poly cutting board

Yea, the Bride and I were once again able to raise the mighty HF multi-band 6-80M Vertical. The mast is 5m and the antenna section is 8.5m tall. I beat a 2m pipe into the ground and the mast slides onto it. Once upright we lifted it onto the pipe, and secured it to the standoffs.
