Danielle Smith's UCP quietly introduced legislation Monday night to bolster their pre-election advertising war chest to more than $9 million despite criticizing such use of Albertans’ money so close to a campaign when she was Opposition Leader.🧵 #ableg #abpoli #cdnpoli

Look at UCP trying to rebrand the tax that they, and they alone gave back to Ottawa to control!! A MAIN UCP campaign platform in 2019–saying that they’d ‘get rid of’ this tax, knowing full well that we’d still have an Ottawa-controlled version. More lies & incompetence. #abpoli

If you are on the default electricity rate you just inherited $200 million in UCP debt today. Surprised? The UCP “rate cap” was a fake the whole time - just a loan deferral scheme they tried to sell as “help. Albertans deserve better. #AbLeg

Spending money expanding the #Deerfoot is the perfect political play. The solution sounds simple and it looks like progress.🤔 But the benefit is only short term, congestion will be even worse later and it leaves us with more expensive infra to maintain… 👀👇 #calgary

Show your support for Alberta arts! Provincial arts funding has been cut 27% over 13 yrs, and we are losing talent and jobs. Text ARTS to (587) 875-5751 to send a letter to party leaders asking for increased arts funding. Show them arts matter to voters like you. #VoteArtsAB

Alberta's on fire again & we don't have the luxury to wait for a polite time to have important conversations. Whatever party attains power in our next provincial election MUST get serious about #ClimateAction. Let them know. PETITION: calgaryclimatehub.ca/ab_election_si… #AlbertaWildfires

The problem with electing MLA’s on the promise that the Leader will be gone soon, is that 4 years from now that MLA might belong to a party whose new leader and membership have gone full anti-abortion, QAnon, theocratic, separatist. And you put them in office. #abvote #ableg

It's really worrying that Conservative Premiers fail to understand the science that continued burning of fossil fuels is causing the climate crisis & that having no serious clean transition strategy puts Canada's economy at serious risk. Lose-Lose. ' cbc.ca/news/politics/…

She can't/won't. So frustrating living in a prov that sacrifices jobs by blocking the energy transition while also claiming to be the party that creates and fights for AB jobs. Renewable jobs are Alberta jobs. Job action is climate action! #abpoli nationalobserver.com/2023/08/14/opi…

Every time a UCP talking head says that the CPP is unfair because Alberta has paid more into it, remind yourself of this: Alberta doesn’t pay into CPP. Albertans do. And Albertans pay and receive the exact same as any other Canadian. It’s your pension. Not the UCP’s.

Absolutely wild that people watch Question Opera Period and then the gaggle of trained clapping voting seals utterly beholden to Executive Offices and party whips and think "wow this is exactly what will make municipal government better"

This is amazing to me. When I first started working Bullfrog Power in 2008, Alberta’s electricity grid was about 80% coal fired IIRC….I’d like to think the bullfrog community played a role in this shift.
