Since I already got the comet on camera last week, I used the clear skies tonight to photograph the North America Nebula (C20). This was 100 minutes of exposure time from here at CSWX HQ in Cannon County, TN.

More rain on the way folks! Rain moves into Middle TN tonight and becomes more widespread through early Wednesday morning. Generally, 1-2 inches is expected through Thursday afternoon, with isolated higher amounts possible for some. Mostly dry and cool weather returns late week!

The new day 3 outlook places most of Middle Tennessee in a slight risk of severe storms. The SPC does mention that "strong deep-layer shear and hodographs would favor supercells." At this time, it appears that the most active time would be late Friday afternoon and early evening.
