It’s going to be a self-care day. I’ve a raging headache & shivery ague. Plus, it’s not the weather to walk across Rannoch Moor. I’m dry, warm & comfortable, so I’m going to catch up with my journal & enjoy the peace. Oh, & keep my fluids up. 😊

I tended my beehives tonight. I've been doing it for years. I'm immune to stings, so just wore my cycling jacket. I learned 3 things tonight: - I'm not immune to bee stings. - My bees hate fluorescent green (I have Larkhall bees!) - I need to restock my medicine cabinet. 🐝🤕😱

Much-loved childrens TV presenter Glen Michael has died at the age of 99. Who remembers watching him every Sunday on STV? With his wee dug and his talking lamp Paladin. His ‘Cartoon Cavalcade’ was a godsend for kids when we had a tiny amount of TV channels.

It’s wonderful to be arriving at Cluanie after an incredible few days walking from Ardnamurchan. What an immense small country Scotland is! I’m seeing places I’d never have thought of visiting & now want to return to. I’m looking forward to the coming mountains.
