Heard a story today of a kid who had a school pull their commitment to him because they saw him play and he reacted badly being taken out of the game. There’s too many good players around to act a fool on the field. Eyes are on you!

How coaches evaluate digitally- Performance - How do numbers look? Who is the competition? Metrics - Basic measurables that give useful data to quantify tools. Video - How does he look with swing, delivery, movement pattern, etc .

Congratulations to Quinton Kuper (Quinton Kuper) on his commitment to LamarCC Baseball! Q has worked hard for years to improve his game and will continue to do so at the college level. We are looking forward to watching your success with the Lopes. This guy’s got pop!

Going to individual school camps is PART of a good recruiting strategy IF - 1) College program has that specific need/opening. 2) There has been a dialogue between player and school. 3) There is mutual interest on both sides to discover more information.

Your timeline with finding a school and program for you is going to be different than your teammates. Don’t let others’ paths stress you out about yours.

I hear “I need to concentrate on school before worrying about recruiting.” Reality is it all needs to happen at the same time, just like when you’re in a college program. You have to be able to improve your baseball while doing school or you will never see the field.

The recruiting process is a numbers game often times. A player I was chatting with yesterday said it best: "Sometimes you need 10 no's before you get your one yes."

Make sure you are dressed appropriately in recruiting videos. One thing as simple as missing a belt can be meaningful! It shows professionalism.
