Can’t believe that is being beaten by another driver for once and straight away he blames the car. Poor show.

Just the result Danny Ric needed. Battling fourth in the Miami sprint race. Split the Ferraris and beat both McLarens. Another win for Max Verstappen. Leclerc second, Perez third with the usual basket of excuses in front of his second home crowd.

And of course Max will have it written into his contract that he has an option to leave if Adrian Newey he does. Will he exercise it ?

I never understood reports claiming Adrian Newey would not leave Red Bull until 2026. He is so sought after he has been writing his own contracts for decades. So today comes the news he will leave at the start of 2025, not the end. Disastrous for Red Bull.

More remarkable racing in the Spanish MotoGP. What a finish! When is Formula 1 going to wake up and serve up the same fare week after week?

Lando on “Whenever I finish behind Max, it feels like a win”. On the win after eight second places. “I feel it’s coming. I think we can win this year.”

Horner on Perez: “He’s not obsessing with the other car and what Max is doing. He’s more relaxed, he’s got a different mind set.” !!!!!!!!

Really enjoyed having Nico Rosberg on Sky commentary. Great punch in post race questions too. “Sergio, why were half a second a lap slower than Max sometimes”. Ouch!

Aston Martin team boss, Mike, Krack backs race ace Fernando Alonso over the George Russell smash, telling fans: “He would never put anyone in harm’s way.” But confirmed they will not appeal the controversial 20 second penalty.

The most damning thing Lewis Hamilton said after his engine blow was not that Mercedes are one second slower than the Red Bull but that the car is “the same as last year”. No improvement a cardinal sin in Formula 1.

Christian Horner points out that it is actually two years since Red Bull’s last DNF. First interview in a while with no questions about Textgate.

George needed a fast corner to get that move done and Alonso’s actions appear suss at first glance, if not downright dangerous. But only the stewards (with data) will be able to judge accurately if his explanation of a sudden problem holds water. Would Ferdy do that? Surely not.
