Apere’a del Salvemos el Parque Guasu Si bien no es una especie amenazada, como otras especies en la misma situación, cada vez es menos abundante, sus mayores amenazas son la cacería y la pérdida de su hábitat.

Mucha gente piensa que "ya todo está descubierto", en realidad se siguen descubriendo nuevas especies casi siempre que se las busca, incluso en áreas fuertemente habitadas, una nueva especie de pez para el chaco!
