We are looking for some very special people to volunteer as Buddies for our befriending service, Bridgend Buddies. We have had a number of referrals recently for people living in our community who are a bit isolated or lonely and would love an occasional companion.

We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded £167,000 in National Lottery funding to renovate the first floor of the Bridgend Centre. The newly created rooms will be used to accommodate more activity groups, exercise classes and meetings in the community #NationalLottery

On Wednesday our Chief Officer Becky went to Poynton Volunteer Fair to promote the work the Bridgend Centre does in the area and to tell people about volunteer opportunities at the Centre. It was a great way to promote our work and link up with other voluntary organisations.

On Friday 3rd June at 2:00pm, we are hosting another 'Time to Talk' session here at the Bridgend Centre. The sessions are a great opportunity to speak to experts on dementia services, finances, therapies, diet, plus much more. There is no need to book, you can just turn up.

Everyone had a great time on the 'Shuttle to the Shops' trip to Trentham yesterday. There is so much to see and do there, with a Shopping Outlet Village, a huge garden centre and lovely gardens to walk through. For more information on more trips out, go to our website.
