So sad to hear my old classmate Alistair Little has passed away. Celebrity chef, restaurant owner, author and all round good guy. James Martin says he was the Godfather of cooking. To us he was just just a great lad who held blinding parties when his parents were away. RIP Ali.

So sad to hear of referee Uriah Rennie's death at just 65. I was there when he refereed his first Football League game - Darlington v Preston in August 1994. PNE arrived 20-odd mins late. I can still see him standing in the tunnel in his new ref's outfit checking his watch. RIP.
