There is a California Kingsnake trapped in a storm drain in Lemoore, CA. It's been down there for 2 months. Posting here in case anybody knows someone who can help! Comment here or message me. Thx

From my 1st attempt at photographing newts in 2024 - the visibility was poor but the newts were as always incredible. I sometimes feel like I've spent too much time photographing this species, but it hard to find a better subject.

Another dead baby #Mekong River Irrawaddy #dolphin. With well under 100 animals remaining, and so many young animals dying in fishing nets this critically endangered population is severely threatened! Remove the nets! khmertimeskh.com/501443688/baby…

Boiling of animals when they are alive is unacceptable - from #FSVOUFAW24 the heart is still beating in lobsters 1 minute after being placed in boiling water - that's a long time for the animal to suffer #AnimalWelfare

Apparently it’s National American Paddlefish Day, so here’s my video of these crazy critters screaming— I mean filtering food from the water with their mouth agape!

American Woodcocks have complete 360° visual coverage above the horizontal plane. Even at the horizontal, they only have a 1° blind spot behind their head (figure: Martin et al. 1994). The Mallard actually has them beat, with complete panoramic vision in the horizontal plane!

Today is #LabAnimalDay. I thank all lab animals, which were, and still are, essential to biomedical progress. Thanks to animal-based research, we've doubled our life-span, and live happier and healthier lives. We owe them a lot, so respecting *their* lives and welfare is crucial!
