Getting a bit worried about how many allocs I'm seeing from what happens when you split an async function up into multiple async functions. Basically everytime it adds ticks for each thing refactored. The numbers are confusing. Refactoring gives 4 extra Promise and ticks?

EU’s Cyber Resilience Act isn’t fully in effect yet but OSS maintainers are already bracing for compliance requests. cURL is among the first to receive one from a Fortune 500 using an old version. What happens when companies treat volunteers like vendors? socket.dev/blog/oss-maint…

So help me I may actually do a conference talk on JS Promises and real world impacts via numbers after all the benchmarking I did in past week.

I want a Promise.voidCall(asyncFn, ...) that wraps it in a way that it won't create extra wrappers when doing an async IIFE. And similarly a Promise.handle(promise, onfulfill, onreject) that also doesn't allocate bonus objects.

Y’all, it’s nonstop. Hopefully you have a tool like Socket in place to check your dependency updates. By the way, our Team plan is FREE for open source projects. Maintainers, get in touch and we'll hook you up. 💜 #oss
