So if the Met won’t give us any more opera, we’ll have to travel for it. I’ve come up to Boston for the BEMF production of Circé, by the French composer Henry Desmarest. Both opera and composer are new to me. Tx3 to all!

That was a lot of fun. Musically excellent, lively colorful production. The sets were very simple but the costumes lavish, contemporary to the period of composition. Many thanks BEMF for an afternoon of great music!
