The BFA draft is only 6 days away & the Huskies are in the BFFL 3rd division for the 1st time in franchise history. Our keepers are set starting with Lions QB Jared Goff. For the 2nd year in a row, Goff averaged at least 20.1 pts per game & passed for at least 4,438 yds

It’s Draft Day in the BFFL!

The 2024 BFA draft has kicked off & the Bonnyrigg Huskies selected Texans WR Nico Collins in the 1st Round. He showcased remarkable yards after catch ability, amassing nearly 1,500 receiving yards with 1,370 air yards, and a significant portion of his yards came after the catch!

It’s a historic day for the Bonnyrigg Huskies. It’s the start of our 1st season in the BFA. The 3rd tier of the BFFL. The newly named Huskies Field is ready. Team news coming soon!

A good to start to life in the BFA for the Huskies with a 160-133 Week 1 win against the Yorkshire Panthers & that was without the injured Christian McCaffery. The Defense got us the win with 113pts out of the 160. We need the Offense to step up next week.

The Bonnyrigg Huskies Player of the Week for Week 1 in the BFA was Seahawks DB Julian Love who scored a massive 27pts. Love finished the game with 12 tackles (10 solo), 1 interception & 1 forced fumble. Let’s hope he can continue that into next week!

A disappointing 166-155 loss to the Cleethorpe Dolphins last week for the Huskies in the BFA moving us to 1-1 for the season. Again the Offense were a let down with only WR Nico Collins scoring well with 19.5pts. RB Christian McCaffrey is on IR so a replacement is being sought!

The Huskies Player of the Week for Week 2 in the BFA was LB Germaine Pratt. Pratt had 16 total tackles (7 solo, 9 assisted tackles) 1 forced fumble & 1 fumble recovery. An impressive start to the season for Pratt who’s averaging 19pts per game so far this season

An impressive 177-92 win for the Bonnyrigg Huskies last weekend over the Carlisle Romans. For the first time this season the Offense stepped up with Ja’Marr Chase scoring 23pts, Diontae Johnson 18pts, Jared Goff 14pts & Nico Collins 9pts. We are now 2-1 for the season!

The Bonnyrigg Huskies Player of the Week in Week 3 of the BFA was Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase who scored an impressive 23.8pts. He caught 6 of his 7 targets for 118 yards & 2 TD’s in the Huskies win over the Carlisle Romans

The Huskies have been drawn against Inverkeilor Stags of the BFO in the 2nd Round of the Celtic Cup. Game taking place this weekend. We don’t have a great cup record so hopefully that will change this year!

Another win for the Huskies with an impressive 209-160 win over Greenwich Galaxy. The whole team contributed this week towards our highest score of the season so far. We move to 3-1 for the season and sit joint top of the BFA North.

The Huskies Player of the Week for Week 4 was Lions QB Jared Goff who scored an impressive 26.18pts. Goff completed 18 of 18 passes for 292 yards & 2 TD’s and caught a 7 yard TD pass.

The Huskies beat the BFO’s Inverkeilor Stags 209-140 in the 2nd Round of the Celtic Cup. In the Quarter Final we have been drawn against the Orkney Tornadoes from the British Lions. Aiming for cup glory!

The Huskies move to 4-1 for the season with another impressive 219-178 win over fellow BFA North team Kilmarnock Coyotes. It was our highest score of the season with everyone across the team contributing. We need to keep this form going as we push for promotion!

The Huskies Player of the Week for Week 5 was Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase who scored a huge 33.3pts. Ja’Marr caught 10 of 12 targets for 193 yards & 2 TD’s. It’s his 2nd award of the season already & he’s starting to show what a stud he is!

The Huskies are through to the semi finals of the Celtic Cup for the first time after beating Orkney Tornadoes of the British Lions 219-169. We now face BFO team Dundee Crocodiles this weekend for a place in the final. C’mon the Huskies!
