Presenting our dearest congratulations from IRRI 🌾 to the Thai Rice Department on the occasion of their 18th anniversary 🇹🇭 🌾

Met rice farmers from Tak province in northern Thailand. The farmers are proud of their local upland rice varieties which yield lower than modern ones but taste better according to them 🌾

The extension division of the Thai Rice Department featuring Land Laser Leveling in their exhibition for the 18th anniversary. The Rice Science Division also shows lots of interesting innovations, like rice ice cream from purple rice, the AllRice App or rice-buckwheat rotation.

Looking at agricultural production and #GHG data from 🇰🇭, 🇵🇭, 🇹🇭 and 🇻🇳 within the ASEAN-CGIAR 'Innovate for Food' Program. This is a good start for planning different GHG mitigation interventions in the four countries.
