Funny what turns up on eBay. The New Piccadilly Cafe (Denman Street, W1) was a much-loved 1950s diner frequented by everyone who was anyone. It was lost to property developers in 2007. Who signed the reverse of their business card c. 1970? Only Marc and Mickey. #NewPiccadillyCafe

It is unknown who designed the T.Rex red/blue brand identity, used across singles, LPs, tour programmes, fan club newsletters etc. Maybe a clue is to be found in this sketch by Marc? It's from the archive of the late Tony Howard, up for auction at Bonhams later this month.

Tyrannosaurus Rex at #Woodstock? It was supposed to happen. This news from July 1969 would have come via the Bryan Morrison Agency, who booked the duo at that time. On 15/8/69, the first day of the festival, Rex played at the Café Au Go Go in New York City - 80 miles away.

Here's a close-up of the patch worn by Marc on his jeans in 1971/72, including at the Empire Pool rehearsal on 18/3/72. This one popped up on ebay courtesy of eagle-eyed Huw who found it in a junk shop. Does anyone know what the design signifies? Something about breaking a chain?

From next month the National Portrait Gallery will be displaying an image of our main man in Room 28 of its permanent, free display. A classic shot by Keith Morris Archive from early 1972, it'll be up for the next year. Pop along if you can. npg.org.uk/collections/se…

In approx. 1974, members of the T.Rex Fan Club were sent this Kosh-designed sticker. Kosh has recently clarified that it was likely not connected with the Light of Love LP & that there were plans to develop an actual light bulb bearing Marc's image. Imagine owning one of those!
