Trump has now reaffirmed his plan to eliminate the U.S. Department of Education. For the record that department funds, among other things, all the special education and special needs program in public schools and public colleges in all 50 states.

Donald Trump eliminating the Department of Education will fuck over any child with an IEP basically forcing them to be even more behind and unable to get the services they need to succeed academically but hey….at least your grocery bill will be lower ‘cause hashtag priorities.

The Department of Education has the smallest staff of any cabinet agency. 91% of its budget goes to Pell Grants, Student Loans, underresourced elementary and secondary schools, and special education. I'm sure the states will manage that well.
