I’ll be honest, I didn’t think my NQT year would be like this 🤷🏻‍♀️ 4 years work getting into teaching 🙈 excuse me while I make a little humour at the irony 😂💁🏻‍♀️

Looking at the positives though, I have an amazing team and great parents and kids. We all just work together to get through this 🥰

People know that the 2m works vertically right? So when they are on their social distancing walks they don’t have to make me walk on the road? No? Ok 😐

Passed my NQT year! A silver lining in what has been a dark cloud of a year. Gutted that I never got to finish this year with my class but seeing their faces yesterday (socially distanced) made it a little easier 😊

Interesting little read. Had or heard these said soooo many times. Gender doesn’t effect teaching and your child will not come out any better or worse with a male teacher. Stop saying these things, it’s sexist and annoying 🤷🏻‍♀️

Today we had a walk and a pub lunch 🍛 usually the summer holidays are full of holidays and days outs but I’m content with nature walks and house hunting with this one for now #restandrecharge #thankful

The last 2 weeks I haven’t touch anything school related. I feel 100 times better and back to myself 💁🏻‍♀️ Next week I’m going to start doing a few planning and prepping because I’m genuinely excited to go back #fingerscrossed it’s doesn’t go back to home schooling 🙈

Why do people hate teachers so much? I don’t recall being sat at home drinking wine all day during the pandemic. I do recall working non stop at home and in school. It’s literally a £1 saving on £10, like calm down 🤦🏻‍♀️

Today our lesson box took us on the journey of chocolate! Such a fun lesson to teach and also gave the children chance to be 100% independent. They felt so proud of themselves for remembering the sequence #geography
