The final version of our paper on PfRH5-targeting antibodies from people naturally infected with malaria is now out in Cell. Pioneered by @Lewreate7, @andrewcooperajr and Josh Tan, who identified these antibodies. It was a pleasure for Brendan Farrell and I to contribute.
Great to be able to award the Biochemical Society recognition award to Ismay Forsyth today as part of her graduation at Department of Biochemistry at Oxford University . An amazing student who did some really exciting science in their 4th year project which was based Diamond Light Source- well deserving of the award.
Huge congrats to Dr Aphroditi Zaki on her work appearing in PNAS ! - Plasticity of the selectivity filter is essential for permeation in lysosomal TPC2 channels - pnas.org/doi/abs/10.107…
In this work, MD reveals a new filter conformation not (yet) seen in cryo-EM of TPC2 channels that conducts sodium ions in good agreement with experiments done by Taufiq Rahman. Very nice collab also with Sandip Patel at UCL. Department of Biochemistry at Oxford University
Congratulations to our new Dr Löbel! Department of Biochemistry at Oxford University Kavli Institute for Nanoscience Discovery, Oxford thanks to Paul Elliott Lab and David Drew
