Life’s too short not to be who you want to be. I understand often times, it can hard and difficult being your true self. I pray everyone finds the courage to do so, when and where they feel the most comfortable. Love is love no matter who you love. Period.

Children’s Mercy Hospital says it’s treating nine children shot at this parade. Nine. Our babies aren’t safe at school. They’re not safe at grocery stores. They’re not safe at churches and they’re not safe celebrating their favorite football team. When will we enough be enough?

Rather than focusing on things outside of your control, turn your attention to what you can influence and approach it with appreciation. Life is hard and often unfair, but we only have one of these things… might as well ride it til the wheels fall off.
