Looks like, despite the debate not even taking place yet, our council have realised a statement preempting the approval of planning for their Kingfisher proposal, before the public have even have a chance to have their say. Disrespectful to the public and our democratic process.

Generally a very disappointing attitude towards local democracy.

Residents of Fairfield East just told councillors about their concerns, no parking, making their road a car park, floodlights and overshadowing of new building. But with the comms on the application already out does it matter?

While local issues such as basic service provision are important to get right, we also know how many people are struggling. Labour Councillors will amplify the voices of residents, and would push for bold policy to help our economy thrive, and tackle poverty and social issues.
