So today we have become ‘that’ team that has to cancel a game throu lack of players. Our apologies to Shevington FC res but no chance of getting 2teams on a weekday night. Firsts had to pull in a couple of vets last Saturday & will have to use some of the ressies tomorrow .🤷

Disappointing result as the 1sts drew 2-2 with Shevington FC After a good 45 mins leading 1-0 & missing a pen the visitors grew into the game & twice came from behind in a close game. Same story for us, a good start but 2 or 3 injuries each game are killing us. Grisdale ⚽️⚽️

It was great to see so many locals down supporting the team last week; and the children enjoying the kids football that was set up. So it’d be terrific to see your support again tomorrow! The club bar will be open, and the children’s football will be set up again for all 💙⚽️

First pre season game saw us win 4-2 against very good Caton United FC res. Deservedly leading 3-0 @ HT, the youthful home side made a real go of it to pull it back to 2-3, only for a goal on 90mins to seal it. Thanks for the hospitality fellas & compliments to your groundsman.👌

This year we will be playing in the Warrington & District Football League. We loved our time in Mid Lancs Football League but the travelling (more so for the reserves) was becoming a problem, especially for the younger players so a fresh start for the 25/26 season for The Staffe 💛💙💛😎

Staffe 1st & 2nd team are looking for new players to strengthen their squads for the upcoming season. We play Saturday afternoons in the Warrington & district league. If you are up for a new challenge get down to training on wed nights 6:15 meet for a 6:30 pm start. 💛💙💛

Saturday we take a mix of 1st & 2nd teamers to play LSGFC Reserves in Preston 12pm KO Should be a good test for the lads as we progress with our pre season 💛💙💛

A scratch Staffe side lost 2-0 to LSGFC res today in 30 degree heat. Plenty of positives to take from the game against good opposition but despite finishing quite strongly we ultimately didn’t really test their keeper. More minutes in the legs thou. Thx to LStock for hosting.

Good workout tonight as we drew 1-1 with a good Winstanley FC Reserves side. An entertaining match with both keepers in fine form & both teams knocking the ball round well on a tight pitch. All the best to Nick & Winstanley for the upcoming season 👍
