Wilmont House presently owned by BCC may still look relatively solid from the outside, but the interior reveals its actual state. Council stategy here and at Floral Hall seems to be let them crumble away. Full walkthrough on FB facebook.com/AbandonedNi/vi… (Images, BT/ Abandoned NI)

'The owner of a listed building in Ballycastle has applied for permission to demolish it, saying it is unsafe and uneconomical to repair.' Perhaps prior to an application to build apartments? bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

The question is - what did it take to convince these MLAs & Cllrs to ignore the evidence & back this horrific project? 🤔 ESPECIALLY the Chair of Stormont’s Environment Committee 😡

Government often claimed that the operators hid their criminality behind legitimate businesses. Untrue. Both companies were permitted to operate way beyond planning regulation and environmental laws. One received significant public money while causing serious harm #Systemfailni

There are 14,125 PBSA beds built/in development/approved in Belfast. Despite UU asserting enough supply exists for its current & future needs, and QUB revising its numbers (due to falling Intl students), Belfast CC appear to believe there is still 'unmet demand' for c2k PBSA beds

The number of student accommodation rooms either built, in development, or approved in Belfast has now reached 15,000 (15,020 to be precise).

Manchester's earliest surviving textile mill, Medlock Mill has mysteriously burnt down overnight. It's yet another mill fire where development and listing are being proposed for an historic building which then burns down..

Nobody here is suggesting a developer will benefit from this in any way. It's just a random fire in an old building. Photo from, Newry.ie

The Mobuoy illegal superdump could damage human health for more than a century – & cost taxpayers £107m to even partially make safe....yet the businessmen responsible gave the judge sob stories that getting caught hurt their own health & finances. belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/courts/mo…

McAleer & Rushe, MRP, ES North St Ltd, or whatever you call them. Seems the developers that levelled part of North Street and have vacant built heritage that mysteriously catches fire are going into the hospitality business and stealing other businesses names on the way.
