Nearly 50% of women who get diagnosed with cervical cancer are women who have never been screened, or who have not received a screening within the past five years. The Pap test, or known as a Pap Smear, is able to detect abnormal cells that may turn develop into cancer.

A pap smear, a test that involves collecting cells from the cervix, can save your life. Women at the age of 21 should get a pap smear every 3 years until the age of 29, then a pap test combined with HPV test should occur every 5 years. #CervicalCancerAwarenessMonth #BCFFMission

Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable and treatable types of cancers IF you get your pap smear as suggested. Women at age 21 until 29 should get a smear every 3 years, then until age 65 every 5 years. It is not too late to take control of your cervical health.

There are no regular screenings one can get to diagnose gallbladder cancer. Typically the cancer is found through surgery, as the cancer starts in the inner layers of the organ and spreads into the outer layers at is progresses and grows.
