Next week our Year 7 pupils will take part in The Big Plastic Count and they'll count every piece of plastic that's thrown away at home. Our young people have the power to make a real difference and help shape the future of the planet, so lets get counting and lets make a change!

Adventurers have enjoyed a world faith day at Blue Coat School exploring different ‘green’ faith views about stewardship and responsibility towards a green future based on beliefs on creation. They have created art, mandalas, played games and a collective worship at Oldham Parish

Thanks to Manchester DBE for the invite to speak at the services today. It was amazing to see the Cathedral full of year 6 children singing, dancing and celebrating.

Today was our final Christian Union before the summer holidays. We wrote our hopes and fears on the prayer tree and prayed for each other. It's been such a blessing meeting together each week this school year. Wishing all staff and pupils a safe and happy summer.

Such a lovely way to finish the school year. Worshipping together as a school community. (Jesus said) “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit."

On Monday, 140 beautifully presented boxes were collected as part of OCC_UK, and they are now making their way to young children across Europe. We feel certain that each box will bring love, joy and light into the life of a child this Christmas. #proudtobeblue #faithinaction

Pupils had lots of fun playing Swordfish in today's Christian Union. As we begin to prepare for Advent, pupils raced to find prophetic Bible verses in the Old Testament telling us of the birth of Jesus. It was a close contest but in the end, the winning team won by just 1 point!

Year 9 pupils attended St Thomas' Church to help them with their "Experience Christmas" event. They supported the Church and staff by helping the children experience the biblical account of Christmas. It was a lovely event, particularly as Rev Hannah was dressed as an angel!! 👼

Yesterday students arrived at Oldham Foodbank to deliver all the donations made as part of our Advent Challenge. Nobody in our community should have to go hungry, so we hope our contributions will bring some joy and happiness to families across Oldham. #faithinaction

At Christian Union today we looked at the miracles of Jesus and considered how they show God's power over life, death and the natural world. We made some awesome models too!!!
