Look at the date on this…and virologists would have us believe that the novel sarbecovirus lab in Wuhan that was carrying out gain of function research of concern had nothing to do with the outbreak in 2019 of a novel sarbecovirus that of course was called SARS-CoV-2.

Moore is making a political rather than a scientific argument. What Moore is really saying is that aspiring virologists with a functioning conscience may object to doing gain of function research with potential pandemic pathogens if they understand the possible consequences.

At this point, I have to believe the people pushing these interventions have heard the counterarguments and just don’t care — the incentives in this space are bad.

Sadly, this is what passes for a serious argument in favor of a zoonotic origin of COVID.
