All 8th graders visited recently with their English classes to kick off a unit on graphic novels. Totally silent teenagers, absorbed in good books!

Author Lesa Cline-Ransome is coming to Baker this week to talk to Grades 3 and 4! We have eleven of her books in our library, and students have been preparing for her visit with their classroom teachers. Sponsored by the Brookline Education Foundation and the Saker family.

Two Russian speakers enjoying books in their own language! The library has many children’s books in languages other than English, focusing on those with the largest representation in the Baker community: Korean, Arabic, Russian, Spanish and Hebrew.
