A huge congratulations to Julie Stivers. Say Gay. Say Trans.!! So incredibly deserved. I am still so bummed I didn’t get to intern with you, but you introduced me to Kathryn Cole and for that I will be eternally grateful. And I will always center your library program’s values as I build my own!

We love when our staff collaborates to create special learning opportunities for our students! Lots of important skills that can be applied beyond this project. @MsSaraCottrell Bailey Normann Kim Mellor Caroline Nisbet Sheila Singh Evan Burnette @alumsdenEES Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools

Poet + EES parent, Aruna, shared her poetry w/ 5th graders + gave them advice on their own work! Their project connects to the book the group is reading with Ms. Smith called “Dragonwings” which highlights some Classical Chinese poems.
