Gouldās wild turkeys are the least understood subspecies, found only in Mexico, AZ, and NM. A mountain bird, they live at elevations = 4-10k ft. Research shows north facing slopes with suitable roosts and water sources are critical! ā¦wildturkeylabā© ā¦The National Wild Turkey Federationā©
