Can anyone point me to an affirming description of the autistic support levels as applied to adults? Including the types of support that would be typical for each level. Thank you.

That thing where there is an extremely famous celebrity who everyone hates and bullies them and calls them a narcissist and picks over their body language, but everything about them screams autistic. Know what I mean?

New question: is there where in the world where evidence based trauma education and interventions, like somatic work, are provided to traumatised communities, as a public health intervention? It’s such a no brainer but need an example in practice. 🙏🏼✨

If someone is in Neurodivergent burnout, one of the worst things you can do is treat them as if they have depression. They may look very similar from the outside but they are totally different things and require totally different ways of managing.

I’m attempting to set up a blog website using an ‘easy’ hosting site/ website builder and it’s literally the most complicated thing I’ve ever seen in my life. WTF…🤷‍♀️

Is it controversial to be wondering how much of what we think is core autistic experience may actually be the trauma response from sustained autistic trauma (which is obviously pretty standard)- like sensory issues, auditory processing etc?

I’m investigating co-housing communities, and finding they exist for many types of communities. I can’t see any reason we can’t have this specifically for neurodivergent people needing a village to raise children, manage day to day etc. Anyone else interested in this?

I’d like to do research into autistic old age needs and experiences, with a view to identifying solutions. What would be a relevant post grad course to do. What subject area is leading/ could lead the way in this? Gerontology? #autisticelders 🙏🏼✨

Is severe/ level 3 autism just regular autism without speech? Seriously asking.

Autistic_at_40_Podcast Carla @MovingTheDial These 'levels' and 'severity' are ableist descriptions that hold no basis in science. I a large portion of the (neurotypical) society in science use these descriptions still, but that doesn't mean it's ok. Autism and mental disability are two different things.

The #AutisticBurnout Symptom Checklist is a free, downloadable qualitative measure of commonly reported Autistic Burnout Symptoms. It can be useful to gauge any changes in level of burnout over time. This provides us with information about what is making it better or worse.

Just to be clear. What I ask a question it’s because I don’t know the answer and I want to know. It means I haven’t been able to figure it out and am asking for someone to explain. Because I want to know. This is why autistic people ask questions. ✨
