Okay we have reached 10k on the Hourglass WIP. I already hate chapter 2 but we carry on…

Never apologize for being obsessed. Read all day. Work all night. Run for hours. Forget time exists. Be everywhere, but be a ghost. Turn off the world and create your own. Let craft become compulsion. Positive obsession is a gift, disguised as a curse.

This week has been a struggle MH wise but I got to 20k… Writing really is always there for me.

get back into it. whatever it is; the gym, your art, your studies, that book you haven’t finished, that project you shelved. whatever you weren’t ready for then; you’re ready for now.

The anxiety has been high these past few weeks so writing has been my escape of choice. Made it to 30k of the current WIP so I’m celebrating that win because somedays I clawed my way through!

Outlining a book is like planning a road trip. First, you start with a clear route. Then you add a few fun detours and suddenly you’re lost in the woods for two weeks with a dragon and have no idea how you got there.

Okay I’m coming to the end of this draft of Hourglass WIP and it’s definitely been one of the hardest to write so far. It’s also had to compete with personal difficulties so I’m still proud even though it’s not my best work YET.

And draft 1 is done! Time to rest up for a few weeks then dive into edits!

I met V.E Schwab at her book event for BOBINTMS. She’s the reason I want to be a writer. Her books are my favourite of all time and listening to her speak makes me want to haul up in a cottage and write forever! 🖤

And we start the edits on one of my favourite stories I’ve written. Happy July!

I am determined to finish these edits this week! So close!
